We woke up kinda early for a rest day in order to get breakfast at the Blarney Stone Cafe before my parents returned to Omaha to fly back home. After breakfast, but before they left, we made a supply run to the grocery store to pick up another round of processed calories.
It was very difficult to say goodbye to my parents as it was amazingly comforting having them by my side for the past couple of days. I am very lucky and fortunate to have such loving parents that care for me enough to make such a wonderful surprise happen. I will get to see them again soon enough.
There was absolutely nothing memorable that occurred for the rest of the day. The only times I left the room were to check on my laundry and stuff my face at the Chinese buffet two doors down from the hotel. With this rest under my belt I was ready to take on the rest of Nebraska.
